Chow Yun Fat

During my "formative" years (a.k.a.: before I started to work seriously), I decided to fill my portfolio with portraits of the biggest fictional bad-asses ever created.

Years later, right before giving a new lift to my official portfolio, I seriously considered to "theme" it with that kind of 70's exploitation spirit and I started to create some new "bad asses" to illustrate it (like the Gordon Liu piece).

One of the chosen guys, was the pre-Hollywood two-gun yielder chinese gangster Chow Yun Fat character Mark Gor from "A Better Tomorrow". He was supposed to ilustrate the links page :D.

Snakuro? SNAKUROOOOOO!!

Snake is dead?

As the Liquid "I want to be Jim Morrison" Snake companion piece, I tried to mimic the conceptual art styling of the original MGS artwork. Unfortunately, the piece ended pretty stiff and somewhat incorrect (anatomically speaking).

Well, WHAtever.

I made it for fun, anyway...

The man with the same code name as you...

...Liquid Snake!

I was doing some "hard drive sweeping" this morning to find something less... cute, to post here (Grazini this is YOUR fault :P). And I stumbled on a couple of old Metal Gear Solid inspired artwork.

I did this one trying to mimic the style of the original MGS designer Yoji Shinkawa, using a lot of blacks and "erasing" it to create some shading.

As always, no paper, pencil or inks were harmed during the creation of this picture.

Next time I'll try to post the other MGS piece.
